The impact detacher breaks up flakes leaving the reduction rolls with a high-speed pinned rotor so the stock can be sifted efficiently.

Stock leaving the reduction rolls is pressed into flakes and agglomerates. The impact detacher throws these flakes against a high-speed pinned rotor and breaks them up, so the released flour particles separate easily on the sieve decks.
The impact does not grind the stock, it only detaches particles that have stuck together, so flour colour is unaffected while sifting efficiency and extraction rise. The same impact also destroys insect eggs in the flour.
The rotor is dynamically balanced, and the housing cover opens for access to the rotor and wear parts. Capacity and motor rating are given in the model table.
