The roller mill is the main grinding machine of the mill. Grain passes between two pairs of counter-rotating rolls and is broken and progressively reduced so it can be separated into flour, semolina and bran. The HK series is offered with 250 and 300 mm roll diameters and roll lengths from 800 to 1250 mm.
Rolls are precision-ground and fluted, and a pneumatic engagement system separates them automatically when product flow stops, preventing wear. Feed rolls, flow-controlled gates and large inspection windows give the operator full control over the grinding process.
The body is a heavy welded-steel construction that damps vibration. Every model gives easy access for roll changes and maintenance and is supported by the HK spare-parts programme.
