The bran finisher recovers the flour still attached to the bran leaving the last sifting passages. A brush and beater rotor inside a perforated cylinder rubs the bran flakes against the screen and releases the adhering flour particles.
The released flour passes through the perforations, is collected and returned to the sifting line, while finished bran leaves at the end of the machine. This stage produces a measurable increase in total flour extraction.
Rotor speed and screen perforation are selected for the product, and capacity and motor rating are given in the model table.
