The chain conveyor moves grain and bran gently over long distances with an en-masse drag chain running slowly in a closed trough.

The chain conveyor moves the product en masse: the trough is almost completely filled and the whole mass travels with the flights on the chain. Because the product slides within itself, kernel breakage and dust generation are very low.
Low chain speed and a large cross-section carry the same capacity with less energy. Capacities for wheat and feed are given in the model table.
The trough is closed and gasketed, and intermediate outlets can be opened with gates. Chain tension is set at the tail station and wear parts are standard replaceable items.
